Welcome to stop playing small and rise, we're going to talk about some often overlooked steps in achieving more things in your business as well as in your life. So in this presentation, I'm going to show you how to stop playing small and accelerate your business growth by mastering your mind. So by the end of our time together, you're going to learn how to shift into a marketing mindset, which for many coaches, and consultants is a scary thought, right? But I want to do this so that you can reach, inspire, serve, and enroll or engage more clients. Now, if you stay with me till the end, and don't worry, Zoom will keep track of that for us, I am going to send you a special bonus. And it's called identifying or defining your ideal client avatar client persona. And you'll learn in there why it's actually more important than your USP, which we'll talk about a little bit later. But it's your unique selling proposition. So if you would, I think it will be best if you could turn off all of your distractions, let's make our time together count. And I want it to, I want it, I want you to allow yourself to focus on you. And focus is one of the keys to reaching our goals. So you got to learn how to keep the less important things out while you focus on the most important things. So thank you for registering you made a great choice. Now let's stay focused here. Okay, so close that email window, close some of the other stuff, open up your workbook, and put your phone in airplane mode. I just did mine because I remember it earlier. And let's get started. Right. One of the things I like to do, and you'll probably see this in any webinar that you attend of mine is I like to have a quick hit right out of the ballpark. Right? I'm not talking here about me. I'm talking about you. So I want to introduce what I call rituals with the rich, of course, in quotes. Have any of you ever heard of this quote before the mass of men live lives of quiet desperation? And have you heard of that before? You just type of why they're in the chat if you have, right? Yeah, some people haven't. That's okay. But it's a pretty famous quote. Now, I don't think Mr. Thoreau intentionally left out women from this quote, right. That was just the vernacular of the time. So now my question is, do you know how Mr. Thoreau defined desperation. Because the row thought that desperation came from having too many wants. He argued that the cost of a thing, a goal was not simply a matter of its price tag. But as he put it, the amount of what I will call life, time and energy, which is required to be exchanged for it immediately, or in the long run. So what he actually thought was happening was we want too many things, and there's too many distractions going on around us. So what we truly truly want and desire in our lives. We end up not really getting living that life of quiet, desperation, quiet, yearning. So what is your focus? Now if I looked at your activities from yesterday, and today, and even your plans for tomorrow? Would I be able to determine your focus that goal that you have that you are heading towards? Would I see a clear path towards what you want to be doing? Three years from now? Would I see a clear path to who you want it to be? And what I see your work, helping you become your future self three 510 years from now? Because if not, then something's getting in your way. How is it that you're focusing your limited time and your limited energy on a daily basis? Robert Brault I love this quote, Robert Brault said we are kept from our goal, not by obstacles, but by clear paths to lesser goals. So if you have 20 things on your list of goals that you may have,
Traci Duez 4:50
there may be one or two or three really valuable things to you. Things that really matter to who you are and who you want to be on that list, I mean, these things are gonna be life changing for you. And and for those that you love. However, we can focus on those. We can focus on all 20. And we can live those lives of quiet desperation. Because what it's going to do is we're going to see clear paths to those lesser 20, right, not to the top one, two or three, we're going to see clear pass the lesser 20. So think about it, you know, that putting together a marketing script, and getting on the phone, and testing it out with potential clients, that's a high value activity, I mean, you might actually get some clients by just by doing that activity, and it can get you to your big goals. However, you also have this goal, that you should really update your website. And the path to that goal may be much clearer to you. So you spend your precious time there, trying to redo something that's already done. What this does is it keeps you from your true, most powerful and precious goals. And this is what we're going to talk about. And what we're going to look at today are, are you living a life by design, are you living your life by default? So what I want to do, again, right out of the gate, I want you to develop a ritual, I want to provide you with a key practice, that's going to help you become your future self. It's, I stole it from Brooke Castillo, she is the amazing lady, she owns the Life Coach School. And she introduced me to this concept of Monday, hour one. And so in the first hour of your Monday work day, this is what you're going to do. You're going to block that hour, every Monday, and your guy, sometimes it goes down to a half hour if you get really good at it, right. But let's just go with our one, let's not try to take shortcuts yet. So what you want to do is you want to get a clearer picture of your future self. You want to review those, those goals that you have. And then you want to look at the ones that are most important to you, not the ones that are easiest to you, people always looking for low hanging fruit. Let's look at the ones that are most important to you. review those. And then what are the tasks that are required to reach them. And all I want you to do is just a brain dump, spend 15 to 20 minutes getting all of those tasks out of your head and into a document onto a piece of paper, get them somewhere other than in your head. Alright, this is the key. So this may take you 15 to 20 minutes just to do this. But I really want you to take time to do that first part, get a clearer picture of who do you want to be three years from now? What do you want to be doing? What's your Day average day going to look like? And then get all those tasks out of your head. Now I want you to spend 20 to 30 minutes thinking through your list, and planning your week with that vision of who you want to be in the future. I mean, use your future self, ask your future self some questions, hey, which of these tasks that I just brain dump out of my head are most important to becoming you that that's the future you right? And go with that. Go with the wisdom of your own brain of your own future self. And then write down for the week? What are your big three, your big three goals for the week that if you could just accomplish these three things, you know that you're on the you're on the right path. And once you have those, let's break it down even further. What are your big three goals for each day? Now these can be professional and personal. Right? So sometimes it's just I just need to get away and go to lunch with my best friend. Because I need to clear my head. That's okay, if that's one of your goals for the day. Sometimes mine is just to go sit out back on my patio and read a book.
Traci Duez 9:25
And that's getting me closer to my future self far more than powering through something which usually doesn't amount to a whole lot. If you're powering through it. You're not in flow, you're not in the zone, right? So write these down. What are your big three for the week and for the infer your days and then place these big three. This is Monday still in Monday, hour one. Place these big three things, your daily tasks on your calendar, block out your time. I'm hoping you're at these tasks don't take it Anywhere longer than 90 minutes, I'm hoping it's much less than that. So maybe just five minutes, but block the time on your calendar, and then honor your calendar. So that's the first part of this ritual that I would hope you would adopt if you don't already have this one, right. And then once you want to do is get to Friday, right? Then there's Friday, our done, you had Monday, our one Friday our done. And this is so important. People think, oh, planning is the most important thing. Yes. And reviewing your progress is right up there right next to it. So review your progress, what didn't get done, and why. Take a look at that what got in the way, record the lessons that you learned. And then the last thing you want to do in Friday, our done is celebrate your wins, celebrate all of those big threes. Any of those tasks that you did complete, that's the key. If you will just do these two things, you will see your productivity skyrocket, and you will see yourself every day getting closer and closer to who you want to be in the future. Jim Rohn said success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day. So how many of you put a why and over there in the chat? How many of you will commit to at least trying a Monday? Our one Friday? Our done? You all right. Right on either your fast there? Yeah. Good. Good, Christopher. Nice, nice, good stuff. All right. So let's get into the content of this, I like that, I like to get a quick hit right out of right out of the gate. So you are in the right place. If you feel like you should just go and get a job at the end of the day, or at least once a month. Right. Especially if you have your own full time business as some of you may be have have a coaching or consulting as a side hustle. Kudos to you. Hopefully you get to that point where you're doing what you love full time. And if you ever feel like you should just go out and get a job, which okay, I've been doing this for 15 years. And I still feel like that sometimes. So do you ever have that thought in your head? Do you ever feel like you're stuck at your current level, like you just don't know what to do to get beyond it? Or maybe you feel like you're playing small. And you just want more, you just know, there's more out there for you more of an impact on the the businesses in your community. Maybe you want to help them create more jobs, you want more freedom and more money, right? That you may be stuck there too, right? You're just playing small. So which of these three use the numbers one, two, or three? Or one, two and three, as some people do? To tell me in the chat? Which one are you? Where are you at now, if any of those you can put a zero if that none of those apply to you as well. But where are you in this? Guy appreciate appreciate the honesty, bonita, I would be putting the same thing. Alright. Awesome. twos, threes, twos. Gotcha, someone's Perfect, perfect. Alright, so I'm here to say, whatever your motivation, any of those three and more, I fully support you in getting over those. And so why would you listen to me in the first place? Well, just real quickly, introduction. For those of you who don't know me, I know we put this out there on LinkedIn. And so there's some new folks here. I was previously a chemist, and then I was director of an IT consulting firm. I was a lazy chemist. And so I had computers and robots do stuff, right. And then, as a director of an IT consulting company, I learned about this science called Axiology, which totally changed my life. And because of it, I started my own company in 2006.
Traci Duez 13:50
Then, circa 2012, I think it came out in January 2013, I published my own book, I also through my business replaced my director income, like within three years, I spoken in front of, I don't know, it's well over 39,000, leaders, managers, business owners, and those types of people through different speaking engagements. And by the way, as I worked my way up through the corporate hierarchy, my biggest fear was public speaking. I dreaded it, I would physically get sick, sick to my stomach, just thinking about having to talk in front of my own team of a little five or six people. So Axiology what I learned stuff about mindset that I'm gonna teach you about today. Totally changed my life. And by the way, writing a book, never something I ever wanted to do. What it has allowed me to do is after was now 15 years in business, I now have a lifestyle that I love. I actually say no to some work that that drains me. I know people We used to always accused me of in the corporate world being project picky once I got really well good doing stuff. Now I'm client picky. And And yes, I say yes to the clients, and projects that really do light me up, like working with coaches and consultants who are changing the world. Because I truly believe that you are desperately needed in today's, shall I say uncertain times. So I want you to take a minute. Can you imagine what your life will feel like? If you only said yes, to the clients in the work that truly fulfilled you fulfilled you mentally, emotionally, spiritually fulfilled you relationally? And of course, financially. Can you envision what that would be? Like? Do you see that for your future self, sometimes, I don't know if this happens to you. But I get so caught in the day to day that. Actually, I was there this morning, some of you on this call, were on a call with me this morning, I was there this morning, I was just so caught up in today that I forgot, like, the gift that today is. And when I remembered, which didn't take too long, after a few calls, I realized that today is the gift that helps me get to be who I want to be in the future. And I just want you to picture that because I can picture who she is I can picture where we're gonna meet three years from now, and what we're going to be talking about. And I want you to be that clear on who you want to be as well. Can you imagine what you would create in your life, if your business was bigger, if it was stronger, it was more profitable, more enjoyable, not only for you, but for those colleagues that you're going to have in those team members that are going to have come along with you. I want you to truly visualize it. Don't just look at the question, say, oh, yeah, that'd be nice. I want you to visualize it. Because accelerating the growth of your business is the single most powerful way to rise and make an impact on your world, while growing your income and your freedom to those life changing levels. By the way, isn't that why you got to this business in the first place? Do you remember back when you invested in your own business and in your own future? What were your hopes what were your dreams back then?
Traci Duez 17:44
Maybe you're just new, maybe you're just starting out. I want you to capture your dreams and your capture the stuff in your workbook, whether it's a long time ago, or whether it was yesterday, when you decided to start your own business, I want you to capture in your workbook. What your dreams and goals, passions, what was that desire that you felt, because over the course of this webinar, I'm going to show you how to get back in touch with those dreams, and then actually achieve them well, and maybe even a little bit more. Right. So my career was in project management, and organization. And so we need a clear path where we're going today. So that is if you're like me, you'll like these next few slides because it's all about where we're going. So we're going to start out I'm going to talk to you about the first thing we're going to talk about is is fear and self doubt. And why is that? Well, because that's the first thing that's going to get in your way. I mean, it's getting in your way right now. It's getting in my way right now, when it comes to finding that fulfillment, that you so desire in your life and in your business, and in bringing value to your clients. Then we're going to talk about that marketing mindset, which so many coaches don't necessarily like, we're going to talk about using emotion as a tool. And you probably heard it said over and over again, that you got to get to the emotion. People don't want to be sold, they want to buy, and people buy on emotion, not logic. So that's the thing we have to learn how to do. And it's actually the thing that nobody taught me, or showed me how to do. I just went out there and tried it, trial and error. And what I'm going to show you today, I have taught hundreds of coaches, and so I know that it works. Then I'm gonna teach you how to get out of your own way. So yeah, fear and self doubt a part of that. But there's a few other things that get in your way as well. We're gonna talk about what's been holding you back most of you know, right that the only thing standing in your way is sitting in your chair, or in my case standing in front of my desk. Right. Next I'm going to give you some information on how you can learn even more how you can learn to rise and rise is about some key components to elevating your business because to me rise stands for reach, inspire, serve, and then enroll or engage those new clients. I'm gonna teach how to do that. And then we'll have a q&a at the end. Okay, so that's I like to wrap up that way, that way I get to interact with you, you guys can come off mute and all of that kind of good stuff. All right. Awesome. Let's get into key number one, fear and self doubt. So many of us look at fear and self doubt as as a roadblock is something that we've got to overcome. And I am going to try to shift your mindset here today so that you don't look at fear that way anymore. Because I believe that a sure sign that you're on the right path is that you are filled with fear and self doubt. Why is that? Well, many of you may see fear and self doubt, the way I did as warning signs that you might be too stupid or too slow, or somehow not good enough. And so that's where the fear and self doubt comes from. In fact, all of those may actually be true, you may be too stupid. I mean, ignorant, like you haven't learned enough yet. I don't mean you're stupid, right? In a stupor is where stupid comes from, or too slow, or too perfectionistic, or whatever. And you're trying to get to a place, but where you've never been before. So your brain doesn't know what it's like to be at that next level. And when your brain is unsure, about okay, what it's going to look like and feel like and smell like at that next level, it's going to conjure up fear and self doubt your amygdala will be hijacked, as Daniel Goleman said in emotional intelligence. But also think about this. If your heart doesn't desire something, then it doesn't care if you make a mistake getting there. Use these feelings of fear and self doubt to know that you are in fact, on the path that your heart has set for you. I mean, I was just talking to some person earlier, and she has a 17 year old.
Traci Duez 22:25
And he was talking at school about talking to this girl, right? And he was trying to approach her but he was all nervous, right? filled with fear and self doubt. Well, that's because he was very interested his heart, well, maybe some other things are very interested in this girl, right? And so that's why he felt that I'm sure if you just bring up any other girl, he's not going to feel fear and self doubt, because his heart doesn't desire that. And so I want you to think about that. What is fear and self doubt? Its internal resistance. Right? That's all. It opposes you in only one direction. That's the cool thing about fear. That's how you know you're headed in the right direction. It's the direction that you want to go that you're being opposed. By the way, saying or hearing in your brain that you dislike something is often fear in disguise. I have said it. Oh, I don't I just dislike calling people on the phone. I just dislike cold calling people. Alright, what does that really? Fear? Fear? No, no? What if I really don't like it? Well, how do how would I even know, I haven't even ever cold called anybody. That's like me when I was young, saying I know I don't like brussel sprouts. And I never tasted them. But I knew I didn't like them. Just the smell of them scared me. Right? So think about those things. And by the way, if you're criticizing others, you're probably in resistance. So I want you to remember, fear and self doubt are pointing us in the direction of our dreams. So what do you do? How do you overcome this internal resistance? What is resistance? Resistance is simply energy. And if you know how to change your energy level, you're going to be able to overcome resistance. So where does energy come from? I have a really simple process about where energy comes from. So we all want certain results in our lives, right? And then we all know that we need to take actions to get there those two things right there. Those are pretty obvious. But where do our actions come from as human beings? They come from energy we need energy comes from emotions, energy in motion, emotions. And now where does emotion come from? I can tell you a story. And you can think about that story and feel that emotion, I can have used what has been the happiest moment in your life, I want you just to think about the happiest moment in your life. Can you also feel it? Because all emotion comes from our thinking, including happiness and confidence and fear and self doubt, every emotion you felt, has been because of a thought. It's because of what you were thinking what your mind was processing. So I call this the terror model, if you read it from the bottom to the top. And if you don't know how to work it, it becomes the tear model, and causes a bit of crying. So I want to teach you how to how to work it, because some think that emotions just happen. Yet, I haven't seen that to be so yet, sometimes we just feel something we don't know the thoughts that are causing it, I do understand that. But there is a thought there is a perception and something that your brain is doing some meaning that it's making of the world that's causing you to feel that way. So let's, let's look at some examples of ways that people typically try to change, right? So you want more results, you want better results in your business. And so what do you do you take some classes, or you buy some latest and greatest system or program or something. And that causes you to take different actions and we take this behavioral approach to getting to the results. I call it the should approach, right? The behavioral approaches, you should do this, you shouldn't do that. And you should, you should on it, right, it can be a very shitty approach. And it's also coping and hoping because we are three dimensional human beings, and you've only pushed on and tried to move one dimension. What happens is, that's, that's my drawing of a spring right there. By the way, what happens is, we end up with this tension between one part of ourselves one dimension of ourselves and the other two, which are still back there on the left side of the screen. This is the stress of behavioral change. And whenever we feel stressed, we focus on survival. So
Traci Duez 27:19
what happens then, right? Well, with that stress, we usually lash out, we can become bitter and angry, right? Because we should be getting better results. If we do if we should take these actions. We don't feel like taking those actions so we can lash out. Or maybe sometimes we can just repress it. Oh, this is what they tell you to do in the corporate world, by the way, right? Just you're not allowed to show your emotions, businesses, business, emotions, or personal. No, you're a whole human being. And by the way, when you repress your emotions, if you've noticed, the spring just got even tighter, even more taut. So what happens then, we believe either lashed out or we're repressing. Well, then we go into the buffer mode, where we have distractions, like Netflix or alcohol or drugs or food or yes, even shopping, right? Amazon loves when people are buffering with, with shopping, all kinds of packages show up at your door. You see, what's happening here is that we're tearing ourselves apart, we're tearing one dimension apart from the others. So we're having our hands go forward, but our heart and our head are still back here. Have you ever felt like your bodies in one place in your mind, in your heart or in another? That points out what you're trying to do in order to get to the results that you want? There's a much better, easier, faster way to change based in science. Let's move your thinking first. So think about the results that you want to get to and the actions you need to take to get there. What kind of emotions do you need? What kind of energy do you need to take those actions? Now if this is about planning, or creating content, or putting your head down in a spreadsheet, you probably need a lower level of energy. Okay, now, what kind of thoughts? Can you think music? Can you listen to stuff can you read in order to lower your energy? Right? So now you're proactively using the terror model, you're using your thoughts, to create the emotions and energy that you need to take the actions to get to results. So before I get on a webinar, I need more energy. So I think about you, I think about how can I step into your world? How can I make the content that I want to share with you something that you actually want to take action on? And so I raised my energy level, I actually jump up and down a little bit and do move my arms and do little jumping jacks to get my blood flowing and to get the energy. And all of that comes from my thoughts that I'm thinking. And so I want you to think about those kinds of things because the number one key to overcoming fear and self doubt is what we call self leadership. You must learn how to master this terror model, you must become the master of your own mind, if you're going to rise, my coaching practice for the past 15 years has been based on this. I've worked with over 200, Business Coaches and Consultants, just business. I mean, I've worked with 1000s of other people, right, from newbies, to focus in the top 10 of their franchises, to help them become better self leaders and master their emotion. And I want to encourage you to do that as well. Become a little more self aware. Because key number two is about your marketing mindset. Good marketing makes your company or your brand look smart, great marketing makes your customer feel smart. And when it comes to a marketing mindset, this is where emotion plays such a huge key. And this is where a lot of our own thinking gets in our way. So how many of you put put a yes or no over there? Put a yes. How many of you like marketing? And if you like it, we got any marketers here? Put a yes over there or put it and if you if it's a no, you can put that too? How many of you like marketing? All right. I'm not seeing anything over there guys. Oh, a big no. Okay, great somewhat. Oh, I love that. Actually, it's fine. It's fine isn't an answer, right? Find means it's really skinny, right? Or it's something that's levied against you because you were speeding? I love that answer, though. Thank you for that. No, oh, ish. That's a great answer is well, Andrew, great answer. Oh, marketing ish. Alright, so let's talk about that.
Traci Duez 31:52
Many coaches that I work with in my groups and one to one talk with me about how they don't like to use social media, they don't like to post things or why. It's what I say, Well, what if I sound stupid, or what if I say the wrong things. And trust me, I lived there, I've been there, I hear those thoughts in my brain too. Then I realized what was wrong, I realized I was focusing more out there than I was in here. And I don't mean in my own head, I mean, in my own heart. See, the main thing you need to do is not judge your messages or yourself by how many likes or comments or wounds or whatever shares and things like that, that you get, because none of that really matters. I know there are some people who want to sell you marketing and get you lots of likes and stuff that are going to disagree with me. But I've proven it. What matters is whether or not what you put out there in the world, whether it's on social media or any of your marketing, whether or not what you put out there came from your heart. So I want you to look at what you are putting out there. And what you're not putting out there. I want you to look at your messages. Are you speaking head to head? Are you trying to give them facts and data and points and stuff like that? Head to head? Or are you speaking to their heart from yours. And by the way, I picked those graphics intentionally by the way head to head usually means combat, right? Heart to Heart means connection. And that's what you're looking for in your marketing, you're looking for connection. And the only way that you get that is by sharing what I call your edge. So what is your edge in your business? Now some of you use methodologies put out by other people, some of you own a coaching franchise, whatever that's been right. Everybody has it, then other people have it. So what makes you different? That's your edge. A lot of business coaches talk about this USP, this unique selling proposition that I mentioned earlier. And yet you sell the same thing as your neighbor. And you offer a free session where you try to enroll people into your services. So no, really what is your edge? what truly sets you apart? Have you thought about it? And are these your is your edge part of the first words out of your mouth when you introduce yourself to people? Because, listen, a coaching business is really simple. It's three steps you meet people get tell them what you do, and you'll make them an offer. That's it. However, how you do those things matters. So what are the first words out of your mouth because from what I've heard from In the coaches that I've worked with, they have these elevator pitches, and they're all the same. Hi, I'm state your name with insert your coaching franchise or your coaching company name here. And I help businesses, people, whatever, with fill in the stuff, the most common thing you help them with, right? And then blah, blah, blah, you'd kind of just tell them the scoop. Now. Everybody's saying the same thing. And they've already heard it before. So they're just gonna tune you out. I want you to think deeply about this. Why you? Why you? What is your edge in your business? Did anything come to mind here? It's just off the top of your head? If so I want you to type it into the chat. What is your edge in your business? I don't know what it is. But when I asked this question, by the way I do. I asked him of my clients. I'm like, Why me? You? You could pick other people? Why me? And they'll say something like, I don't know. I just trusted you. Like, wow, that's pretty cool. But why you? Maybe it's your experience that you have that makes you unlike any other?

I really want you to think about it. I really want you to type something over there in the chat. It doesn't it's camp, there's no right or wrong. I want you to start this process. Let's let's overcome key number one right away fear and self doubt. I want you to put what's your edge over there. It can be anything. It really can overcome your fear and self doubt. Put something over there. Alright, I'll wait. Let's see who's gonna be there. like Nike, like that a lot. Ashley? Worked in small businesses for 15 years know what they're going through on a day to day level. Awesome. So you can relate to them heart to heart, not just and head to head but Right. Yeah, so Ed says purpose is to help others find their purpose. Awesome. Right? If that's what you're that's what you're passionate about. Sharing what you're passionate about what you believe in what your purpose is all really important and should include, it will include your edge, right? A change agent in corporate and coaching was my superpower. Awesome. Very cool. Very cool. Those are the things I want you to think about that. And again, just type something in there. We'll Yeah, it doesn't have to be right, we're gonna, this is gonna be something you work on over and over and over again. And I hope that you'll go and you'll ask some of your clients, you know what your superpowers are. I have a Mighty Mouse mug that one of my clients actually sent me. Because that's what that's what he thought in terms of a superhero for me. I just loved it. Yeah. All right. So experiences. Yeah. Awesome. So think about that, what's your edge in your business, because whether your edge is something like generating leads, helping teams, inspiring people, right? teaching workshops, coaching executives, when setting your intentions for your business, it's not, it's not what you choose, that matters. It's your willingness to believe in your abilities, and to take yourself seriously in your chosen space. So many people asked me, to help them find their niche. I want to let you know something if that was you, your niche isn't lost, it does not need to be found. You need to create it. You are a creator. You need to get deeply in touch with who you are. Your edge, your passions, your desires, your dreams, your goals. Most of which are helping other people, right making a difference in the world. And that's what you need to focus on. That's your edge. So I want you to take some time to do that. Because so many people are all about branding. How do I brand myself? How do I do this? What do I title do I give myself listener? A brand is just a set of expectations. I love this from Seth Godin, a set of memories and stories and relationships that taken together account for your clients decision to choose you over somebody else. If you don't understand those expectations, those memories, those stories by the way, those all create emotion. That's what we're going for here. If you don't have that in your materials and in your marketing Well, it's, it's inevitable that you're struggle, because people don't buy based on logic, right? So what's your story? If we're going to call it a brand, what's the story that your brand tells your brand has to include your edge? Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to tell your story to as many people as possible. So what's getting in your way? Well, everything comes from your thinking. So it's your thinking. That's why I coach people around thinking, I am passionate about helping you release your genius. Because business is simple. I still just meet people, tell them what to do. Make them an offer. That's really all there is to it. But what happens? Well, we run into some marketing mindset roadblocks. How many of you have ever wanted to reach out to people that first step, you know, meet people reach people? And you've heard this thought in your head? Well, I don't want to bother them. Any of you? And have you heard that one? How about? Well, I don't know what to say. In huh, yeah. Or what if I can't answer their questions?
Traci Duez 41:26
Yeah. I'll let you know something. If these thoughts come into your head, and you can't overcome them, it's an indication that you aren't passionate about your brand that you don't know your edge yet. So using one, two, or three, or one, two, and three, which one ones of these sound most like? The thoughts in your head? Scott, tell me in that in the comments there.
Traci Duez 41:59
Any of those?
Traci Duez 42:05
I don't want to bother them, huh? All right. Lots of ones a couple twos threes. Yeah. Three, you can see three, there's I know I can help. So I'll reach out. So some of you might actually do that. Right. Right. Awesome. Terrific. All right. Key number three is getting out of your own way. I love what Ralph Marston says, there are plenty of obstacles in your path. Don't allow yourself to be one of them. So I want to show you, the cause the main cause the main source of your frustration, and I get this from Dan Sullivan. He's an amazing coach, got some amazing books out there and coming out next. The main source of your frustration has to do with your ideas and your expectations. And so the best way to explain this is by looking at the horizon. See, the horizon is representative of your ideals of your dreams of your goals, right? And it's that line out there that separates the earth from the sky. So that your dreams and your ideals and your goals. When will you actually arrive at the horizon? If we started to walk like we Jesus and could walk on water, right, and we started to walk in that direction, when would we reach the horizon? Never right, you can't arrive at the horizon. As you start to get closer and closer to your dreams and goals. Your Dreams and Goals move they grow. That's what being human is all about. Our ideals can't be achieved. No, the ideals that you had years ago, maybe achieved today, right? But now that ideals that you have now are still further ahead in front of you. You can't use the horizon as your destination. That's where the frustration comes from. You use the horizon to set your direction and plan a destination, but you never arrive there. Ideals are meant to provide you with illumination with emotional energy with inspiration and motivation to keep you moving forward. As you get closer and closer to your dreams and your goals, you can see farther and farther away and into your future. And so your your future self three years from now can then see your future self three years from then, which you might not see as clearly today. And so we often get frustrated because we're measuring the wrong thing when it comes to measuring our progress. How many of you have said oh, I should already be at a certain place. This is taking too long. I should already be here. I should already be there. And if you ever see that are just me. Maybe a couple of you. All right? That's because we, we were measuring the wrong thing. So from where we are in this very moment, to our future to our goals, and then to our future and beyond, all of that in front of us is make belief. It's not real yet, right? Because it hasn't happened. And that's how we typically measure our progress. We're like, Oh, look how far we have to go look how far we have to go. Well, let's say you made some progress. Right? Then what happens? Well, now we have reality, because now we can look at where we are today. And we can look back and we can say, Oh, yep, that's where I was. That's what I had. And now, this is reality. Today, back to our Start is reality. That's something we can measure. So we make a little more progress, right? Now, we can see a little more time. And we can measure that as well. Right? That's reality. Now from where we are now after this progress, to our future to our horizon that is still make believe you with me so far? Good. Because wherever we, whenever we're in reality, we can measure it. Whenever we're in make believe there's nothing to measure, we have a starting point. But no end point. You need to real things in order to measure these real tangible things, and you don't have them yet. But in our brain, we think that that goal or expectation that we have out in the future is real. It's not it's imaginary, it's make believe it's a unicorn. And yes, it is setting our direction it is providing us with inspiration and motivation, well, until we start to measure against it. So you don't want to measure that way. You want to measure the gains that you've made, not the gaps that still exist. You can't measure make belief.
Traci Duez 47:07
Is that make sense to any of you? This is huge for some of the business owners that I coach that think they should already be billionaires, right? Now, let's see how far you've come. Oh, my gosh, look at that. You have a $5 million business. What did you have three years ago? Nothing. Okay, great. You're doing well, let's keep moving. Right. So in the gap, you can't find happiness. No kind of success in the gap can make you feel successful, because it's not real. So look at your gains, your capability in the future depends on your measurement of your achievements of the past, measuring reality. And I want, I want to teach you how to focus on that, because that's part of getting out of your own way. Remember what I talked to you about Monday, our one Friday, our done Friday, our done is measuring your gains. That's why it's so important to you and your business and where you want to go and who you want to be. This all still relates to to some marketing here too, because emotion is what really drives our behaviors, and our decision making in general. So if you're thinking about future clients, as you're thinking about yourself, and this is from Ink Magazine, studies have shown that people whose brains are damaged in the area of emotions that generate emotions are incapable of making decisions. So their prefrontal cortex, their logical part of their brain is all they're all intact. That's what we think we make decisions with this logical part of our brain. We don't, we can't make decisions without emotion. And so learning how to use that for yourself, right? To get out of your own way, is really powerful. When I was younger, I bought into this fallacy that the smartest person always won. That's what I was taught at home as far as taught at school. Good grades are what really mattered. So I pushed myself I achieved really high scores. I earned the most recognition that I could I tried to excel in every field that I could. I worked as hard as I could. But I always fell short of my goals. Always something got in the way. Well, that's because EQ, emotional intelligence, Trump's IQ. So type of why in the chat if you have worked hard to be the smartest. Have you worked hard to be the smartest Maybe that was just me. All right. As I kept growing, I kept finding more and more people, I surrounded myself with more and more people who were smarter than me, far more talented than I could ever be. Some of you who are here right now, or even watching this right now fall into that category. There's no doubt. This left me feeling as though I was destined for a life of mediocrity forever destined to live in the shadows of others brilliance. I mean, there are times when I would just say to myself, well, I can't because I don't know how, like, I had to know how is he in order to even try. But it's not about knowing how is the quote there from Maya Angelou, people are going to forget what you said, people are going to forget what you did, people are even gonna forget how smart you were. But they will never forget how you made them feel. That's what that tear model is all about. So if you're only using your actions to get to your results, you are working way too hard. You've got to take a three dimensional approach to Accelerate Your Progress. Here's a quote from Rick Phelps, one of my clients says the TERR model was a game changer in our business. And it has to do with all thoughts, emotions, actions and results, right. But most people in businesses will think that's what you should do with emotions, you should just bottle them up. Because Business is business. It isn't personal. There's no room for in business for emotions.
Traci Duez 51:49
There is an emotional intelligence is the ability to sense and to understand and to effectively apply the power, the acumen of emotions as a source of human energy as a source of information and connection and influence. And you'll notice those are the bottom two pieces. The foundation of this triangle to get your results of this pyramid is emotional intelligence, emotions, and thoughts, emotional intelligence. And so I want you to think about it. Just a little exercise, right? What's your response to emotion in a in a diagnostic or a strategy session or whatever your introductory session is? What? What's your response to emotion? Some people get excited about it. Like if somebody starts crying, what do you do? How about in a coaching session, if somebody starts to get upset? A lot of times we think that there are some, some negative emotions. Well, I don't think there are negative emotions. There are feel bad emotions, and they're feel good emotions. Okay. So when it comes to feel bad emotions, do you shy away from them? Does your brain tell you that something's wrong or that something needs to be fixed? Because if you can't handle, feel bad emotions, and feel good emotions, it's going to be really difficult for you to share your own story, it's gonna be really difficult for you to get out of your own way. Because you are the limit. And if you don't understand emotion, if you have a limited emotional vocabulary, if you are afraid or uncomfortable around emotional situations, that's what's gonna keep you from your dreams and your goals. It's inhibiting and maybe even sabotaging your success. I have a little bonus key for you. I'm going to go through really quick. It's around objections. People hate objections. I have found that coaches especially hate objections and Zig Ziglar said, there are five basic obstacles. There's no need. There's no money, there's no hurry. There's no desire or there's no trust. And so many of us see objections as rejection. Like get out of my way. No objection is nothing. It's very much like fear and self doubt. objection is awesome. If you are getting an objection, rather than just no, or I don't want it golden, you're minutes away from a sale. Because think about it. When you throw out a typical objection to somebody that's making you an offer, do you throw out an objection because you're disinterested? Because if you are you're leading people often just say no, or I don't want to and if they say why, just say, I don't want to. That's it. So other than that if they say, Oh, it costs too much, oh, it's the they're interested. The objection is a request for more information. You don't request more information if you're not interested. And remember, you think they're requesting more information about your business, about your methods about your whatever. It's not a request about your specific product, or your service? Or more information about how it works. decisions aren't made with logic. How many times have you addressed an objection with what they're asking for? You know, they said, the price is too high. So you offered him a lower price? They said, Well, I'm not in too much of a hurry. I'm gonna think about it. And you said, Okay, when will you get back to me? Though, they have to think about it, listen, they're interested. You're doing them a huge disservice if you don't enroll them now. Because what, how many other decisions? Are they thinking about? What else are they putting off in their life, you need to bring them back. People don't need to be sold on your product or service, they need to be sold on their dream. You need to bring them back to their dream, you need to bring them back to the emotion. You need to connect on an emotional level, not on a logical level. So handling objections isn't about what to say, I want you to remember this handling objections is about your mindset. Can you see that now? Do you find that helpful? So what do we talk about today? We talked about how we can rise with focus, right?
Traci Duez 56:52
Getting around fear and self doubt mindset, talked about emotions. And then we had a little bonus there about objections. So these are just a few things that you can learn how to master in order to to x or 10x your business. Now, what is it that you're going to choose to do? So most people will choose nothing. They're the ones that buy the exercise equipment, and then use it to dry laundry on, right. They're going to let go of their dreams, they're going to let go of their goals, all the things we talked about at the beginning. And they're going to continue to play small, they're going to let fear of the unknown and uncertainty determine the heights to which they will rise. But what are you going to choose to do? Because that's really the obvious question. So remember what you wrote or thought about at the beginning of our time together? Can you imagine what your life would feel like if you only said yes to the clients that you wanted to work with? And that truly fulfilled you? Can you imagine what you would create in your life and in your business? If it was bigger if it was stronger, more profitable and more enjoyable? I mean, what would you stop doing in your business or in your life if your business was more profitable? I mean, when I started getting more profitable, I didn't cut my own grass. I don't clean my own house, right? I don't even drive my own car, I let my Tesla do that for me, right? What are those things that you want, that you would stop doing? If you didn't have to do them? I want you to think about those. Because you can take what you learned in this in this webinar in our time together today, and put it into practice, you can start practicing today. Or I have two options for you. Right, option number one is try it on your own. Option number two, is follow a proven roadmap. What option do you want to choose? You can type that into the chat. It's not it's not legally binding. Right? Do you see how powerful and influential you can become when you're able to use the TERR framework to consciously choose the thoughts that's going to elicit the emotions within you and the energy needed to take the action to reach your goals? And would you like me to help you implement these techniques and start using emotion as a tool in your business? It can make a huge difference. If you want to go with option number two, I want to invite you to a course and a community called rise because it's going to help you start playing a bigger game. have an impact on your community and your lifestyle that you that you've always dreamed that your business could have right that you that your life could have. And so in this course what we're going to do is we're going to reach we're gonna help you find your ideal clients. The ones who understand your edge, we're going to help you connect with them and inspire them on an emotional level. And we'll show you exactly how to do that, how to help them become the heroes in their own lives and in their own businesses. And then I'm going to show you how to serve them before you ever tried to enroll them in anything, by coming alongside them, encouraging them, having them commit to their dreams and goals and showing them how to use their business, their life, whatever it is they're trying to do as a tool to get it. And then only after you've reached them inspired them and serve them. Have you earned the right to enroll and engage them in a program or an offering that you have that's best for them? No, well, this program I have has six different modules to it. One is setting your intentions always number one, it's always about the eye. And then it's reach, inspire, serve, enroll, and then some next steps. So before we make a decision, it's always good to get some more information. Right. So what are some other people saying or what have they said about this? This is less than two minutes.
Unknown Speaker 1:01:18

difference. We have all the tools here and action coach. But it starts with your mindset where wise has been a great program to help me shift the mindset into a mindset that is more abundant.
Unknown Speaker 1:01:55
It is not, it's not a little money, it's an investment. If I see the investment, and the results, it's how do you call it and say, no brainer.
Unknown Speaker 1:02:08
My recommendation is for every coach and every pasta partner to join the program to dedicate time and effort to understand advanced coaching.
Arthur 1:02:20
There are many different trainings and books and videos that we as coaches read, and all of them have good information that we can implement. What is different about RISE, in my opinion, is that you have a great combination of the theory behind the program, and also the interaction so that you actually implement and execute what you learn. And that combination is what says, satirized apart from all the other things have been amazing.
Unknown Speaker 1:02:51
You are the one who changed my life.
Traci Duez 1:03:01
So these are people who've been through what I just talked about. And you you can learn so much, not just from me or from the processes, but from the community that we've created. Those folks are part of it, that and the value that that brings to all of us, right. So, if you like more details, here's some more details Module One has to do with your intentions, we're going to dive into the TERR model, specifically for you and your mindset, we're going to learn how to bring your best thinking how to move things forward, and we're gonna work on your three C's curiosity, courage and commitment. Module two is is reach. So we're going to create your ideal client avatar, we're going to help you create some messaging scripts that use emotion and some lead magnets that will actually attract your ideal client to you not just a generic lead magnet that's just going to attract somebody to you. It's going to be somebody who wants your edge who wants what you offer. And then there's a special bonus when it comes to reach that I'll talk about here in a second. Module three is about inspiring discovering the motivators, your motivators, as well as there's what is it that you can put in your stories, and what motivates you your ideal client, tap into that we're gonna show you how to do that. In module four, we talk about serving, so you got to serve your clients before they enroll. So we talk about taking them on a journey. The buyers journey people don't like to be sold to, but they love to buy. So why do we have a unique selling proposition? It still makes no sense to me, no one likes to be sold to. You don't need a selling proposition. You need to understand the buyers journey and how to take them on it. You need to be able to create powerful, irresistible offers for those ideal clients. Once they reach the end of the journey that tell them hey, you're going to help them get where they want to go. Rule five is about signing them up, right? It's about enrolling them in your programs, how to frame things, how to pre swayed people, you're going to discover what's called the responsibility process, because you need your clients to take responsibility for themselves for their growth.
Traci Duez 1:05:17
And you need to be able to move them, if they don't take responsibility, you can try and hold them accountable all you want, but they never took responsibility, you can't hold them accountable, they're gonna be like, Yeah, whatever. And you're going to develop that mindset that we just talked about number two, in order to overcome objections. And then module six is just next steps, it's going to be some advanced coaching techniques, we might talk about some natural laws, that's really going to be up to the folks in the class in the course, to, to talk about that. And to see where we are in the program. It's very flexible in that last part with the next steps. Now, the value of this course is almost $6,000 5997. The cool thing that I talked to you about in reach, and most most coaches, consultants have struggled with is getting leads, how do you get leads? Well, I'm getting rid of that as your excuse. All right. I know that might be scary for some of you. But I'm getting rid of that. What I'm going to do is I'm going to give you 500 verified leads that meet your criteria, which we will set in module one, when we talk about who are who are you intending to, to? To contact, right, who are you intending to reach, and you'll get 500 verified leads, you're going to get their email addresses, their phone numbers, their websites, whatever it happens to be, whatever you set, now, the number of leads is going to depend on your territory. Arthur, who was just in that video, he is actually in Curacao, it was a little harder to get him 500 Because he's on a small island in the Caribbean. But we managed. But we're going to do that it's gonna they're going to meet your criteria and be verified as well. So that's one bonus that you have. The next bonus is live application sessions. So this course doesn't last six weeks, it lasts 12 to 13 weeks, because after every module, we're going to get together. And we're going to have what I call an application session, we're going to discuss, okay, what struggles did we have what got in our way what what was happening, what worked, what didn't work, and we're going to share with each with one another, everything that's happened over the previous week, and then we'll go into the next module the following week. So there's live application sessions are invaluable. And that's what the other folks said, if you want to watch the whole entire testimonial video, it's out there on risecoaching.com. It's about six and a half minutes, I think, where they keep they talk about different aspects of the program. Bonus number three is throughout the program, you can schedule I recommend 30 minute sessions, but you can schedule 330 minute sessions with me, whether it's setting your intentions at the very beginning or getting to the end and how to overcome objections, you're going to have some one on one time with me as well and get personalized attention. I do have a guarantee. If in the firt. After the first two sessions, you can show me that you've done the work, you've set your intentions, you've identified your future self. And that's what that first part is about. And you're still not satisfied with what you've learned in the course, I'll gladly give you a refund. So all of those bonuses, right? worth about $4,200 Plus, what the what the course itself is worth is about 10 grand in value. And my offer to you guys, for 3500 3497.
Traci Duez 1:08:39
The cool thing is, is that I know this works, I know it will be worth it to Yes, I break it down into payment plans. I'll show you that in a few seconds. But this is consistently worked for people. Doug Winnie here in Houston, Texas, he is one of the top action coaches, it's a franchise in the world, he's consistently in the top three, you can call him you can find him on the internet, you can call him anytime or text them or send them a LinkedIn message or whatever. And he'll he'll share with you about what this this program has done for him. So as I mentioned, there are some payment programs if you if you're really interested, I want to make this as easy as possible. So the program lasts for three months. So if you want to take three months to pay, it's 1197 a month, but I do something else too, because I realize sometimes if you're just starting out that might be a little too much. So even though the program only last three months, I'll spread your payments out over six. So all you have to do is go to risecoaching.com there's a I'm ready to sign up button right there at the bottom. And then select your payment options. Whichever one you want. When you go to that payment page, it'll have you put in your email address and create a password because all of the information that we have is going to be on your portal in in your in your progress. For your cohort. So you'll select that, and then you'll be able to go and you'll log in, you'll be able to get to the program, it'll look like this, it'll say access to the course, and jump, you can jump right into the course, because right now, there's a welcome page, a little welcome video. There's also an introductory survey that I encourage you, I really like you to, to fill out, that'll help me know who you are and what you like and what you're looking for. And then there's also a third one, I didn't put a slide in here for, there's a third one on there, because those of you who sign up first are going to get to determine what day and time on a weekly basis that we have this. So the other module or lesson out there is, pick the times that you that you are available, so that we can do that. So it will be the first three or four people who go out there, we're gonna find the one the one or two slots that worked the best. And that's what we're gonna, we're gonna go with. Alright. So there's the slide in the terms of, of pricing. So, if we look at, right, why are you here, right, maybe you don't want to go back to a corporate life, you, you want to master your own destiny, maybe you don't want to feel stuck any longer, you're tired of being at this certain level in your business, and you just want to thrive, you just want to get to that next level and beyond. Because you've probably seen people who are half as talented as you are, seem to be doing better. It's all about getting out of your own way. Right. Or maybe you're just tired of playing small, you know that you deserve better. And you know that your clients or customers, especially your future, clients, and customers deserve better, and you deserve the lifestyle that you've always dreamed of. You can have it, you can have that impact that you want to have on your community. Now, maybe you have some doubts. Listen, I don't know if I can mark it myself. Well, don't worry, we're going to help you with that. We're gonna help you shift your mindset. I don't have the money, I can't afford it. Listen, I'm going to give you 500 leads, if you how much? How many of those? Do you have to turn into clients in order to pay for the course? Or maybe your brain is saying, Yeah, well, I'm not as good as those people that were on that video you just showed Traci. There's a lot of competition in the industry. Of course there is I mean, all you have to do is hang a shingle outside your door and say, Hey, I'm a coach, right? But only about 3% of the population really, truly succeed. And so the the rest, it's all about you, it's all about can you tap into your dreams, your goals, your passions, and bring that to the market. Because if you can, amazing things are gonna happen. And we're gonna show you how to do that by accessing your strengths, as we call it, your A game. Now, some people say, Listen, I just want to Coach,
Traci Duez 1:12:55
what you will learn inside the RISE program is that marketing, enrolling and retaining your clients is in fact, coaching them. And if you can learn to coach them through the buying process, you can definitely coach them in the coaching sessions. And when they come up to you and say, I think I'm done, you will have also learned how to retain them. Sipko, one of the guys on the video, he had a client come up to him, and he was going to quit. And so Sipko called his master licensee that's in his business. And she said, well just sell him a book, just sell them something. Right. And I and then he asked me is like Traci, what would you what do you what should I say to him? What should I do? And I just simply said, just sell them, sell them his own dream. And Sipko tried the latter. And now didn't lose that client. This stuff works. I can tell you that over and over and over again. But until you experience it yourself. You might not believe me. I hope you'll go watch the video and see what other people have had to say and I also hope you'll go to Rise coaching and that you will enroll.
